As it is today, the 18th century family was held at the table well past
the meal. The broad boards and accommodating size and shape suited
conversation as well as victuals. No doubt a fine sitting chair helped
some too.
As you can see, we have a variety of tables. Authentic Shaker, Irish Hunt
Boards, Porringer, Queen Anne, and Tavern styles all crafted precisely as
they were over 200 years ago from choice woods like Tiger Maple, and some
from actual 200 year old boards, all finished in warm and welcoming hues.
So that you can accommodate visitors, planned or otherwise, we've
developed a truly unique system that allows you to extend most of our
tables without compromising the original one piece design. They can be
made to fit your space and also seating requirements.
