Churches and public houses were highly held; their furnishings were
usually the finest a village could provide. The popularity of the Windsor chair
and its inherent sturdiness made the style a logical choice for the required
multi-place seating. Benches and settees to accommodate as many as eight or ten
were common.
Perhaps you have a hallway or family room suited to one of our Windsor broad
seats. All are historically faithful, graceful and remarkably comfortable.
